Welcome to my blog about the mythic and archetypal motifs in cinema and television. I believe that film-makers and scriptwriters are often the first to recognize the underlying concerns and trends in society. Taking a deeper look at their work, we see those concerns and trends in the mirror.

I earned my PhD in Mythological Studies with a Depth Psychology Emphasis from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2012. I teach classes on archetypes and myths in films as well as blogging about them.
